Nuestras \u00e1reas de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen el control gen\u00e9tico de la organog\u00e9nesis en general y el de las hojas en particular, y el desarrollo de t\u00e9cnicas y plataformas para la caracterizaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica de organismos modelo. Para la mayor\u00eda de los genes objeto de estudio no se hab\u00eda descrito previamente ning\u00fan fenotipo mutante a partir de la perturbaci\u00f3n de su funci\u00f3n. Nos hemos centrado en dos familias de prote\u00ednas: los factores de terminaci\u00f3n de la transcripci\u00f3n mitocondrial (mTERF) y las prote\u00ednas ribos\u00f3micas cloropl\u00e1sticas (PRC) o mitocondriales (PRM). Por un lado, estamos interesados en los genes que participan en la metilaci\u00f3n N6 de los residuos de adenosina en el ARNm, utilizando la planta Arabidopsis thaliana como organismo modelo. For most of the genes under study, no mutant phenotype had been previously described from the perturbation of their function. We have focused on two protein families: mitochondrial transcription termination factors (mTERFs) and chloroplastic ribosomal proteins (CRPs) or mitochondrial ribosomal proteins (MRPs).
