Estos alimentos est\u00e1n incluidos en la Base de Datos de Alimentos, BADALI, disponible en abierto en la web https:\/\/badali.umh.es. Aqu\u00ed se recogen m\u00e1s de 3000 alimentos para los que se proporciona la composici\u00f3n nutricional y varios elementos de an\u00e1lisis. Entre ellos destaca un Sem\u00e1foro Nutricional propio, la Valoraci\u00f3n Nutricional espec\u00edfica para cada alimento y el an\u00e1lisis de las denominadas Declaraciones Nutricional y de Salud que los fabricantes hacen de sus productos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-835\" src=\"http:\/\/bioingenieria.umh.es\/files\/2021\/12\/badali-portada-e1620898192445.png\" alt=\"badali portada\" width=\"400\" height=\"171\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>L\u00cdNEAS DE INVESTIGACI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>L\u00ednea 1: Estudio de la calidad nutricional de los alimentos presentes en el mercado espa\u00f1ol<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>El gran desarrollo de la industria alimentaria de las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas ha puesto en el mercado una enorme cantidad de productos procesados. La calidad nutricional de estos productos es cuestionada, puesto que gran parte de ellos contienen ingredientes que empeoran su composici\u00f3n nutricional. Es fundamental analizar esta calidad nutricional para conocer el mercado al que se encuentra expuesto el consumidor espa\u00f1ol, dado que este posee bajo conocimiento en materia de Nutrici\u00f3n que le permita una elecci\u00f3n adecuada de los alimentos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-832\" src=\"http:\/\/bioingenieria.umh.es\/files\/2021\/12\/linea-1-badali-e1620898338952.jpg\" alt=\"l\u00ednea 1 badali\" width=\"500\" height=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Productos procesados<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>L\u00ednea 2: Estudio del contenido de sal de los alimentos<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Un elevado consumo de sal es un factor de riesgo para la hipertensi\u00f3n y para enfermedades cardiovasculares como la cardiopat\u00eda isqu\u00e9mica o la insuficiencia card\u00edaca. La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud recoge entre las intervenciones m\u00e1s rentables en su informe &#8220;Salvar vidas, reducir el gasto&#8221; de 2018, que &#8220;reducir la ingesta de sal reformulando los productos alimenticios para que contengan menos sal y fijando niveles objetivo de contenido de sal en los alimentos&#8221;. La mayor parte del consumo de sal se realiza a partir de productos procesados. These foods are included in the Food Database, BADALI, available in open access on the web https:\/\/badali.umh.es. This database contains more than 4200 foods for which the nutritional composition and various elements of analysis are provided. The nutritional quality of these products is questioned, since most of them contain ingredients that worsen their nutritional composition. It is essential to analyze this nutritional quality in order to know the market to which the Spanish consumer is exposed, given that he\/she has little knowledge of nutrition that would allow him\/her to make an adequate choice of food.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-832\" src=\"http:\/\/bioingenieria.umh.es\/files\/2021\/12\/linea-1-badali-e1620898338952.jpg\" alt=\"l\u00ednea 1 badali\" width=\"500\" height=\"149\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Processed products<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Line 2:\u00a0Study of the salt content of foods<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">High salt intake is a risk factor for hypertension and for cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic heart disease or heart failure. The World Health Organization lists among the most cost-effective interventions in its 2018 &#8220;Saving Lives, Reducing Waste&#8221; report, that &#8220;reducing salt intake by reformulating food products to contain less salt and by setting target levels for salt content in foods.&#8221; Most salt consumption is from processed products.
