Before joining UCSB in 2019, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Ione Fine (Psychology, Institute for Neuroengineering) and Ariel Rokem (Institute for eScience) laboratories at the University of Washington (USA), where he developed computational models of bionic vision. Beyeler currently directs the Bionic Vision Lab (https:\/\/bionicvisionlab.org) and is associate director of the Center for Virtual Environments and Behavior (ReCVEB), both at UC Santa Barbara.
