Science communication workshop framed in the outreach activities IBIDIVULGA 2022, organized by the Institute of Bioengineering of the University Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez and funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Recognized as a training activity by the UMH Vice-Rectorate for Faculty and by the Bioengineering Doctoral Program.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Dates:<\/strong> Tuesdays and Thursdays of the second half of March and April 1.<\/span><\/p>\n Time<\/strong>: From 16:00 to 18:30 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n Place<\/strong>: Assembly Hall of the Institute of Bioengineering.<\/span><\/p>\n Registration<\/strong>: Free of charge, until Monday, March 14. Limited to 30 participants.<\/span><\/p>\n Requirements to obtain the accreditation certificate:<\/strong> Attendance at least 80% of the classes.<\/span><\/p>\n Contact<\/strong>: For any questions contact M\u00aa Rosa Ponce (mrponce@umh.es) or Ana Peir\u00f3 (apeiro@umh.es).<\/span><\/p>\n Objectives<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n The “II Workshop on Scientific Dissemination for Beginners” aims to lay the foundations for communicating scientific research to an audience outside (or not) the world of research. Participants will be introduced to the basic techniques of dissemination and oral and written communication, including social networks. It will also show the procedures to generate short and attractive messages, monologue type, whose short duration (1-5 minutes) allows to transmit ideas in a very dynamic way, and to resort to improvisation, which is very useful in any communication activity. Likewise, resources for dissemination through social networks and other events will be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n The science outreach workshop for beginners is an initiative of the Institute of Bioengineering, organized by Professors Ana Peir\u00f3 and Mar\u00eda Rosa Ponce, researchers at the research institute. Ana Peir\u00f3, physician, Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and experienced monologist, will coordinate the workshop which will last 20 hours and will be developed in 5 interactive and face-to-face sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during the second half of March 2022. Participants who so wish, will present their monologues in a day open to the general public, which will also involve renowned scientific disseminators who are leaders in the Valencian Community and at national and international level.<\/span><\/p>\n
