Francis D\u00b4Souza. Esta actividad se celebrar\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo lunes, 18 de julio, a las 11:30 horas, en el Sal\u00f3n de Actos del Instituto de Bioingenier\u00eda del edificio Vinalop\u00f3 del campus de Elche y est\u00e1 organizada por la directora del Instituto de Bioingenier\u00eda, la catedr\u00e1tica \u00c1ngela Sastre.<span id=\"more-155688\"><\/span><\/p><div id=\"attachment_115604\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><p id=\"caption-attachment-115604\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, Francis D\u00b4Souza explicar\u00e1 c\u00f3mo materiales nanom\u00e9tricos pueden dar lugar a procesos fotosint\u00e9ticos semejantes a los que ocurren en las plantas, es decir, a partir de luz solar generar energ\u00eda.<\/p><\/div><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Actualmente, Francis D\u00b4Souza es profesor de Qu\u00edmica y Ciencia e Ingenier\u00eda de Materiales y forma parte del Instituto de Procesos Manufactureros y Materiales Aplicados (AMMPI) de la UNT, lo que ha hecho que su investigaci\u00f3n cubra diversas \u00e1reas de la qu\u00edmica, la nanofot\u00f3nica y la ciencia de los materiales.<\/p><p>Sus principales trabajos incluyen la qu\u00edmica supramolecular y nanomolecular de nanomateriales de carbono fotosensibilizante; materiales funcionales avanzados para la recolecci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda luminosa y fotovoltaica; sensores y catalizadores electroqu\u00edmicos y fotoqu\u00edmico; y materiales h\u00edbridos nanocompuestos para el almacenamiento de energ\u00eda.
