Jeniffer Sanguino Gómez completed her Degree in Sanitary Biology at the University of Alcalá, Madrid, followed by a Research Master’s in Neuroscience conducted jointly between the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Cajal Institute. Subsequently, she carried out her PhD at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Dr. Harm Krugers, investigating the modulation of glucocorticoids on learning and memory from a behavioral, cellular, synaptic, and molecular perspective.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Leiden University Medical Center, where her work focuses on the study of stress and cognition.

In her research, Jeniffer combines DeepLabCut with supervised and unsupervised behavioral analysis to reveal the latent structure of behavior and examine how it is modulated by a previous history of stress, with a special interest in identifying behavioral signatures of vulnerability and resilience.

Day: Monday, May 25, 2026, Time: 1:00 PM, Location: IB Assembly Hall

There will be a sign-in sheet to record the attendance of the teaching and research staff.
